WASHINGTON鈥擩an 4, 2017鈥擳he 91成人 (91成人), representing U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing, design, and research, today announced the recent addition of three leading U.S. semiconductor companies, Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT), Marvell Technology Group Ltd., and Qorvo, as 91成人 members. IDT President & CEO Greg Waters and Marvell President & CEO Matt Murphy are expected to be elected to the 91成人 board of directors at the next board meeting in March. Qorvo CEO Bob Bruggeworth was elected during 91成人鈥檚 board meeting in September.

Waters joined IDT in January 2014 as President, CEO, and a member of the board of directors. Prior to IDT, he served from 2003 to 2012 as executive vice president and general manager for Skyworks Solutions, where he led the company鈥檚 wireless businesses to a decisive industry leadership position. Before Skyworks, he held several executive business unit positions at Agere Systems, where his responsibilities included M&A and IP licensing and where he played a key role in the company鈥檚 successful IPO. Waters began his career at Texas Instruments, serving in a variety of management positions in sales, customer design centers, and business unit management. Waters holds a B.S. in engineering from the University of Vermont, and an M.S. in computer science from Northeastern University.

Murphy has led Marvell since joining the company in July 2016 and also serves as a member of company鈥檚 board of directors. In his role as CEO, he is responsible for leading new technology development, directing ongoing operations and driving Marvell’s growth strategy. Prior to joining Marvell, Murphy worked for Maxim Integrated, where he advanced through a series of business leadership roles over two decades. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of Business Units and Sales & Marketing, overseeing all product development and go-to-market activities. In prior roles, Murphy led the company’s communications, data center, and automotive business groups, all of which experienced significant growth under his leadership.

He earned a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College, and is also a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program.

Bruggeworth is President and CEO of Qorvo and has led the company to strong growth since its formation following the merger of RFMD and TriQuint in January 2015. He served as President and CEO of RFMD from January 2003 to December 2014 and was previously President of RFMD from June 2002 until January 2003. Before this he was also Vice President and then President of RFMD’s wireless products group. Prior to joining RFMD in September 1999, Mr. Bruggeworth held various leadership positions at AMP Inc., a supplier of electrical and electronic connection devices, from July 1983 to April 1999, serving most recently as Vice President of Global Computer and Consumer Electronics, based in Hong Kong. He is a graduate of Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
