Global Semiconductor Sales Increase 26.2% Year-to-Year in February

Year-to-year sales into the Americas increase 43.7% to lead all regional markets; month-to-month sales decline 1.4% globally

WASHINGTON鈥擜pril 5, 2022鈥擳he 91成人 (91成人) today announced global semiconductor industry sales were $52.5 billion in the month of February 2022, an increase of 26.2% over the February 2021 total of $39.6 billion and 1.4% less than the January 2022 total of $50.7 billion. Monthly sales are compiled by the聽聽and represent a three-month moving average. 91成人 represents 99% of the U.S. semiconductor industry by revenue and nearly two-thirds of non-U.S. chip firms.

鈥淕lobal semiconductor sales remained strong in February, increasing by more than 20% for the eleventh consecutive month on a year-to-year basis,鈥� said John Neuffer, 91成人 president and CEO. 鈥淪ales into the Americas continued to outpace other regional markets, increasing by 43.7% year-to-year in February.鈥�

In addition to the year-to-year sales increase in the Americas, sales were up compared to February 2021 in Europe (29.5%), Japan (22.3%), China (22.0%), and Asia Pacific/All Other (18.8%). Month-to-month sales increased in Europe (1.5%), but fell slightly in Asia Pacific/All Other (-0.4%), Japan (-0.7%), China (-2.1%), and the Americas (-2.7%).
