奥础厂贬滨狈骋罢翱狈鈥Dec.23, 2020鈥擳he 91成人 (91成人) released the following statement today from president and CEO John鈥Neuffer鈥痠n response to鈥the president鈥檚 veto of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The NDAAincludes Title XCIX, 鈥淐reating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors for America,鈥 which authorizes federal incentives to promote semiconductor manufacturing and federal investments in semiconductor research. 91成人 represents 98 percent of the U.S. semiconductor industry by revenue and nearly two-thirds of non-U.S. chip firms.

奥别鈥檙别 disappointed by the president鈥檚 decision to veto the NDAA, which is crucial to our national security and includes important provisions to strengthen America鈥檚 supply chain security and boost U.S. semiconductor manufacturing and research. Congress approved the NDAA and the semiconductor provisions within it by huge, bipartisan margins because it鈥檚 right for our country. Congress overriding the veto is right for our country and for our sustained leadership in semiconductors and the countless technologies they enable, including those critical to our national security and economic recovery. We strongly urge Congress to make this right and enact the NDAA.
